Myriad

My Heart's pounding
My thoughts are in a state of disarray
A Myriad of thoughts, feelings, pictures, sounds
Impressionism you say
But is it just not who i am
A Myriad of Impressions!
A blank canvas i was
A clean slate
Today i am filled with a myriad of colours
Black here
A little red there
A bit of Grey
Green, yellow, purple and white
A picture of my life
I am my own embodiment
The different people
The facades i have played
The countless lessons
The numerous misunderstandings
The joy, the pain
They have all played a part
A part in moulding me
In creating who i am today
But the picture is yet to be completed
For there are many more colours on the palate of life
More sounds, a million more emotions to feel
Life is always an incomplete picture
Even when i am 99, my picture will remain incomplete
When Death comes with open arms
To hold me tight, to embrace me
My life's picture will still be left incomplete
You have to fill in the colours for me
The little anecdotes
THe numerous other tears i may have missed
The laughter, the frown, the smile
A Myriad, that is what i will always be.
