Lost in confusion, so very apt for the state i am in right now. Confused and lost. Why do we love someone so much, to the point we're afraid of loosing them? Honestly i haven't got a clue, been trying to figure it out for a while now, but i have come to no revelation. This is what i think, however before i go on, just a word of caution, you might be lost in my confusion. So continue reading at your own risk.
Why do we love someone so much we're afraid of loosing them? Possible Answers.
1) We're not really in love, we've just got so used to having that person around we cannot really imagine life without them. This isn't love is it? It's the need to hold on to something in the face of change. Man doesn't like change.
2)Dependance. You're dependent on that person for identity. Without that person you feel, non-exixstent. You have no identity of your own. You're a wreck without that person in your life. But then again you're still a wreck with that person in your life, so what difference does that make?
3) You really do love that person and cannot phantom life without that person or the possibility of loving someone they way you love that person. Hence the resistance to loosing him.
4) You think only that person is capable of loving you and no one else is, you mistake the person's momentary desire for you to be love and you chose to indulge in that warped vision for so long, you're afraid of coming back to reality. (sounds a little like the first one doesn't it.)
Well if 1,2,4 are my reasons or even your reasons for being with someone, then GOD bless us. We have to bloody get up and move on, life isn't going to wait for us, she's got her own agenda. And trust me when i say this, she loves us too much, she will leave us behind. So catch up with her before it's too late.
In the meantime, jive to the rhythm of life, sip on some champagne and think of what is to BE.
