Inspiration

Something needs to be done, there is this sense of urgency, i sit down every day to get started on my new project, but something's amiss, what is it? I kept asking myself this same question repeatedly, over and over again, but i found no answer,then suddenly like a bolt of lighting i found my answer in the pages of a well written novel by Oscar Wilde, "The Picture of Dorian Gray."

What is it exactly, that gave me the answer to the missing part of my new project? These words so beautifully written by Oscar Wilde and so beautifully spoken by the character of Basil Hallward; "there are only two eras of importance in the world's history. The first in the appearance of the new medium for art, and the second is the appearance of a new personality for art also." In other words my answer lies in Inspiration.

Motivation you think should be inspiration enough to an artsist, but it is not the truth, motivation could get you moving, but inspiration would get you started. Now my search is for that inspiration, i know not what being or thing this inspiration maybe, but i would know when i come face to face with it. It would be my Antinous, it would be my Dorian Gray.

I take my leave now, with this short but truly inspired entry, leaving you to search for your own inspirations for whatever it is you want to embark on. Every project is an art, and everyone an artist. Wake up, smell the coffee, pluck the flowers from the garden, and you never know, inspiration could be right there, waiting for you. :)
