A boring place to be, lonely too

Singapore is a boring place to be, especially when friends seem to have done a David Copperfield on you. Weird that they were there when i was down, but funny they aren't when i need the company of some good friends.

I am lucky to have people around me to pick me up, but why leave me alone when things are better, isn't friendship meant to be there through the good times and the bad? To me this seems like a myth now, it doesn't hold water in any arguement. I think it's better to cut off all these ties from the world of people, i will be my own best friend henceforth.

I am better off sitting in a pub, having whiskey on the rocks and talking incessantly to the bartender, who in the name of customer service would entertain me, for a couple of hours until i pass out. ( looks like what my brother told me years ago is going to manifest itself in the here and now.)To all the friends who have done a copperfield, screw you all, i am better off without having to deal with you. If you don't want to talk to me, it's better you speak them words than disappear. I like closed chapters, i do not bask in the joy of cliffhangers, when it comes to relationships. Do not leave the chapter open for benefits of your own egos. I know what it's all about, it's about your convenience, but what about my pain? Does it not matter? Am i not human? Why take me for granted? I am sick of all these. I live my life in truth and honesty, then why can't you?

You must be sitting somewhere laughing at me, gloating over your fulfilled revenge, but hey you had better watch out, sorrow comes when you least expect it. No one is truly happy after hurting someone, beware, be afraid. God bless you all and leave me alone, if you have done the copperfield, don't bother coming back, because i close the chapter today and i am never going to let you in again, unless you have a valid reason, and mind you i JUDGE the validity of your reason. You can have nothing to your whimp and fancy anymore. So my darlings, walk out the door and leave the keys behind, ring the doorbell when you decide to come back, i'll decide if i want to open the door.

There is something symbolic in what i have written, and for all you sensitive reader's do not be sympathetic, but empathise instead, because at some point you too would have gone through this boredom, this loneliness or maybe you might someday, but i wish you'd never have to, because it's a painful place to be in.

Till the next read, play in the rain and cry a little.
